ROBOT Damashii (SIDE MS) RX-79BD-1 BLUE DESTINY UNIT 1 ver. A.N.I.M.E.

As seen in "Mobile Suit Gundam Side Story: The Blue Destiny," the Blue Destiny Unit 1 equipped with the EXAM system joins Bandai's "Robot Damashii Ver. A.N.I.M.E." action-figure lineup! The Blue Destiny was an experimental unit developed by the Earth Federation Forces, where Dr. Chlust Moses, the developer of the EXAM system, had defected. The EXAM system was installed in the head of a ground-type GM, and the generator was also enlarged; it boasted outstanding performance at the time of its development. This figure from Bandai is armed with its 100mm machine gun, bullpup machine gun, and short shield, and also comes with effect parts to reproduce the firing of its characteristic wired chest missiles. A replacement visor is included for when the EXAM system is activated, and vernier effects in two colors are included: one for normal use, and another for when EXAM is activated. Either of the machine guns can be mounted to the robot's back with included suspension parts, and the knee mechanisms are carefully developed for accuracy. The popular OVA "Macross Plus" celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2024, and Bandai brings a new version of the YF-19 Excalibur, piloted by Isamu Dyson, to its "DX Chogokin" lineup! It comes with a newly modeled Pinpoint Barrier Punch Effect that's more conscious of the design in the anime, while keeping the body proportions and transformation gimmicks as accurate as possible.

This figure transforms into all three of its forms -- the Battroid, Fighter and Gerwalk. The characteristic forward wing shape is reproduced when in Fighter mode, and it also has a variable-wing gimmick. The double-seat cockpit can be seen with the opening and closing canopy; three cockpit figures are included: two of Isamu Dyson, and one of Jan Neumann.
